Brain Box - British History
Do you know where the UK's first motorway was built in 1958? Was it 8, 18 or 28 miles long?
Can you name the English pop band often referred to as the Fab Four?
This version of Brain Box takes a look back at England's most successful and influential people, events and inventions. 1966 World Cup, the Great Fire of London and the Battle of Britain all feature.
BrainBox is an appealing way to introduce a young audience to key events from our past. Build historical knowledge in bite size pieces. A game for grandparents and wider family to all enjoy. Helps improve observation and memory skills.
How to play? Players take it in turns to study a randomly drawn card for 10 seconds and then return it to another player. They roll a die to decide what question they are asked. All of the answers can be found on the picture side of the card. If the player can answer correctly, the card is kept as a point, if not, they return it to the box. Sounds simple, but once the card is no longer in front of you, how much you can remember becomes everything. The winner is the player with the most cards after 10 minutes of play (can be reduced to 5 minutes play as needed).
Can be enjoyed as a single player, as well as competitively. Fun for all the family.
Contains 54 cards, 1 rules card, 1 sand timer and 1 die. Recommended for players aged 8 years +
Not suitable for children aged under 3 years due to small parts (CHOKING HAZARD)
